![]() ![]() Some other more enhancey stuff: Pip-Boy Flashlight gives you one of many selectable light pops instead of an omnidirectional glow, Faded Glory adds some music inspired by kind of a fusion of the Black Isle and Bethesda Fallout scores to the available non-radio game tracks, and True Legendary Enemies gives randomly generated legendary enemies randomly generated names. You can also set their weapon preferences at various range bands.įinally, and most importantly, Everyone's Best Friend will let you take Dogmeat around in addition to whatever other companion you want, because most of them actually have dialogue about him and also who's a good boy? Who's a good boy? Is it you? It is you! You're a good boy! As a bonus it will let you teleport between the DLC maps when you have settlements there, which isn't as much of an issue for you personally since you have no DLC.īetter Companions fully stats your companions, prevents them from setting off mines and such, and improves companion perks to have weaker effects but also not require you to empty out your health bar and/or replace it with radiation. Immersive Fast Travel is a neat little something if you feel like regular fast travel is too breaky. Even if I'm button mashing at the time I will at least register the dialog box popping up and know why. I leave settlement attacks on but use Skjalert to get a dialog box when they happen. ×Dark Souls 3×Fallout 4×Nioh 2chevron leftchevron rightRecently added48View. If I go back to FO4 eventually, I might try Sim Settlements instead, to see if that's more interesting. To install the Dismemberment mod on Blade and Sorcery: Nomad, go to PCQuest. By mid-game I installed Settlement Attacks Beyond (to try and make settlement defense less dumb and annoying), and by late mid-game I switched to No Settlement Attacks (because it turned out that settlement defense couldn't be made less dumb and annoying). It.almost helped, but not a lot, to be honest. Place Everywhere, Longer Power Lines, Scrap Everything, some fence/wall improvements, that kind of thing. Later on, I started throwing in some settlement-related mods to try and mitigate how annoying that part of the game was. Oh, and Minuteman Tweaks, just so I could go to whatever location Preston was hanging out at without constantly worrying that I'd run into him. And a low-level version of Rich Merchants, because shuffling around to multiple vendors to have multiple interactions just to sell off stuff isn't interesting enough to do more than a few times. There are a few mods that I used besides those that made it a bit less vanilla and fed into my preferred playstyle : Increased VATS Distance, Critical Hits Outside Of VATS, and Companion Sneak Updated (because what I like is sneaking around and sniping). ![]() ![]() That's a reasonable baseline for a no-frills vanilla FO4 experience, I think. ![]() Oh, and Companion Infinite Ammo, too (because dealing with their inventory that much just felt like pointless busywork). I played through with the Full Dialogue Interface (because Li of Orchid is 100% right, the base dialogue system is crap), the Unofficial FO4 Patch (to fix all the small things Bethesda never does), and the Achievements mod (because it's a single-player game, so why the fuck not). There are also many, many mods to enhance settlement-building, so if you find you get into that, check out Higher Settlement Budget (if you have a good PC, if you don't, you might not want to increase the settlement budget as it can really slow down or crash your game if you have too many settlement items in too small of an area), Spring Cleaning, Homemaker - Expanded Settlements, and Place Everywhere. From that list, I definitely recommend Armorsmith Extended, True Storms, Legendary Modification (kind of cheaty but I hated hoping to find a Legendary bonus on an item I actually wanted to use), Better Settlers, Unofficial FO4 Patch, Crafting Workbenches, Companion Infinite Ammo, Achievements (if you're like me and you want to get Steam achievements even if you have mods enabled), Wearable Backpacks and Pouches. You can also peruse this list of the Top 100 most endorsed mods from FO4 Nexus. I have strong feelings about it, you see. The base dialog system in the game is crappy, and crap, and no good. This list is mostly for myself in the event that I would ever need to delete all my mods and start from scratch, but I thought I’d put it here for anyone who was interested. You need the Full Dialogue Mod. ![]()
